Brenley Ann Canoy was born March 15, 2006. Her parents are Jessie Lincoln-Friese and Ryan Friese. She has three siblings, Adeline, Landry and Elijah Canoy.

Three words she would use to describe herself are resilient, passionate and empathetic.

Mrs. Newell is her favorite teacher, Canoy said, because "she is always eager to help me in any way she can." Her favorite high school memories are all of the school's pep rallies.

Although she feels ready for graduation and is looking forward to beginning her adult life, Canoy admitted that she will miss socializing with her classmates and peers from high school.

Her advice to underclassmen is to be kind.

"You never know what someone may be going through," she said, "and how you treat someone will have a lasting impression on them."

Canoy's plans after high school include pursuing a career that involves helping children who struggle with mental health issues.

She said her biggest accomplishment so far has been making it to her senior year. And the person who has had the greatest influence on her life is her mother.

"She has always been there," Canoy said, "and does her best to support me when it seems like no one else does."
