The 1973 senior class of Woodland High School celebrated the 50th anniversary of its graduation during a three-day reunion Oct. 13 to 15.
The weekend-long reunion included lunch at El Tule that Friday, followed by dessert at EC Reed's Mercantile; a Saturday night dinner and dance at Leopold Knights of Columbus; and a church service at First Baptist Church of Marble Hill.
In addition, some classmates met Saturday morning for breakfast at Harps before going to visit a classmate at StoneBridge Senior Living.
The highlight of the weekend was dinner and dance at Leopold KC. A meal served by the Knights was followed by Stan Crader, Jack Leadbetter and John Wagner sharing high school memories.
A table with photos and candles commemorated classmates who had died. And an album of photos and biographical poems, written and compiled by Bonita Wiseman Smith, were given to each classmate.
Following a small speech by Betty Collins Rambo, who arranged the reunion with her team of helpers, door prizes were handed out. And the band, Three of a Perfect Pair, which included classmate Gregg Hopkins, played for those who wished to dance or just enjoy the music.
Several special guests were present, including Dixie Hopkins and Andy and Brenda McIntosh.
