The Heartland Women's Show continues to draw crowds for its pricing game and exhibits and offers women a trade show specifically for them, organizers said.
About 7,500 people attended the show Saturday and Sunday at the Show Me Center. The event is sponsored by KFVS-TV Channel 12.
When the show began nine years ago, it offered women a chance to get information about health, decorating, child care, cosmetics and cooking all in one place.
And it's been consistently drawing people back every year, said Shirlene Krewson, coordinator for the show. "We have a faithful following."
The show offered a health pavilion with tips on healthy cooking, information about health care issues. Area hospitals had booths from area hospitals.
A food pavilion offered cooking tips and food samples, and a demonstration stage displayed everything from kickboxing demonstrations to a conversation about what a powerful role play has in a child's life.
