Women who are facing difficulties in their lives and don't know what to do are offered some solutions during the Ladies Prayer Brunch to be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Holiday Inn.

Fee for the brunch is $5.95. Reservations may be made by calling 335-5531, and tickets will also be available at the door.

"We do not have to accept our circumstances as they are" claims the guest speaker, Kathy Casto of Dallas, Texas. She is author of "How to Pray For Your Loved Ones."

Her book is the result of personal experiences -- the second baby suffered from ear infections and allergies; the older daughter couldn't learn in school, and her husband became so discouraged he felt he might walk away from the ministry.

She said that as a minister's wife she felt she could not turn to anyone in the church, and she couldn't find help from doctors or educators. Casto said out of desperation she began a deeper walk with the Lord.

A frequent speaker at events such as the prayer brunch, Casto says "I am drawing women who want answers, who are facing difficulties in their lives and don't know what to do. Many have trouble with their children, and they are frustrated and don't know where to turn. I'm looking for women who are searching for answers."

She added, "I always hear of tremendous results as the women understand their prayers can make a difference and begin to see God intervene and bring the answers."

The prayer brunch is a forerunner of the upcoming Lowell Lundstrom Crusade, which is being brought to this area by 34 area churches representing different denominations.
