WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- A Wappapello woman is figuring out what to do with $100,000 after winning in the May 14 Powerball drawing.

Louise Tate matched all five white-ball numbers. She just missed being a multimillionaire when she chose 20 as the Powerball number instead of 21.

"When I realized I'd won, every emotion that was in me went through my body," said Tate, who used a combination of family birthdays to pick her winning ticket numbers. "I already have a new set of numbers planned out."

Tate has used some of the money to pay off medical bills and to buy a new Ford Explorer.

She also plans to use some of her money to take a trip to Florida and take a little time off from running her store, Photo Fun Shoppe, in Wappapello.

"I've never seen the ocean," Tate said. "After I go to Florida, I think I'll head to Las Vegas."

Not a regular lottery player before her win, Tate said she makes sure she has a Powerball ticket now.

Ten days after Tate won her $100,000, another Wappapello woman won $20,000 from a ticket given to her as a birthday present.
