WOMAN THREATENED, ROBBED AT HER HOME

An elderly woman was robbed Thursday night after a man accosted her outside her home in the 200 block of North Pacific Street.

Cape Girardeau police reported the woman had walked outside her home and was approached by the man as she was returning to the house.

The assailant than placed "something over her head," told her he had a gun and "would kill her" and demanded money, police said. The man followed the woman inside the home, where he stole an undetermined amount of cash and fled.

"She did not see him and did not see any weapon. It was just implied," the police spokesman said.
