A woman was taken to a hospital Saturday night to be treated for a cut to her arm after an altercation with her girlfriend, police reported.
Police received a call at 7 p.m. Saturday about a domestic dispute, said public information officer Darin Hickey of the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Officers responded to the area of Ellis and Hickory streets, where they found the victim with a laceration to the upper part of her arm, Hickey said.
"She stated her and her girlfriend got into an altercation," Hickey said.
The women had been arguing about relationship issues, he said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for the non-life-threatening injury, Hickey said.
No one was in custody Monday afternoon, but the investigation was ongoing, he said.
