A 20-year-old Leopold, Missouri, woman sustained minor injuries Wednesday in a traffic crash at the intersection of William and Sprigg streets, police reported.

The woman was driving an Oldsmobile west on William Street when she attempted to make a left turn onto Sprigg and collided with an oncoming pickup truck, said Darin Hickey, public information officer for the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

The woman, whose name Hickey did not release, was taken to a hospital to be treated for "minor, non-life-threatening injuries," he said. The truck's driver and 5-week-old passenger were not injured in the crash.
