The victim, a 20-year-old female, was struck in the leg as she sat in the passenger seat. The other two shots are believed to have been fired at one person standing outside the vehicles and into the vehicle with the victim, where another female passenger was in the back seat but was not injured.

The shooter had left the scene by the time police arrived, and the injured woman was taken to an area hospital.

Police believe the people involved in the incident knew each other, according to the release.
