WOMAN KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT NEAR ANNA, ILL.
ANNA, Ill. -- A former Fruitland woman was killed Friday when her car was hit by a tractor trailer on Route 146 between Anna and Vienna. ANNA, Ill. -- A former Fruitland woman was killed Friday when her car was hit by a tractor trailer on Route 146 between Anna and Vienna.
Rhonda Sue Cannon, 25, of Rolla, was dead at the scene, the Illinois State Police said. The accident happened at 9:26 p.m. Friday one-tenth of a mile east of I-57.
The driver of the tractor trailer, Timothy A. Kloss, 32, of Melvur, Ky., was charged with improper passing at an intersection. He wasn't injured.

The state police said Cannon was attempting to make a left-hand turn off Route 146.
The driver of the tractor trailer was trying to pass Cannon's car and a van. All were eastbound.
The tractor trailer hit Cannon's car in the driver's side door as she turned.
