MOUNDS, Ill. -- A coroner's inquest will be conducted into the death of Olive L. Ferrill of Mounds, who died Tuesday from smoke inhalation during a house fire.

"We have the autopsy report back now, and the inquest should be held in a couple of weeks," said Pulaski County Coroner Bill Atherton.

The fire was reported at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, when smoke was observed coming from the house. Mounds firemen responded to the fire at 217 S. Delaware. Mrs. Ferrill was pronounced dead at 12:05 p.m.

Mounds Fire Chief Bill Woods said the fire apparently started from a floor furnace.
