WYATT, Mo. -- A 22-year-old is dead following an early Thursday morning shooting in Wyatt. The victim was Shondra Lindell, who received a gunshot wound to the head while at 206 Walnut St. It is the second shooting at that home in just four days -- another man was injured in a shooting there on Monday.
Dep. Janice McCameron of the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department couldn't give a lot of details, since the case remains under investigation. But, she did say it was highly suspect the two cases are related.
"We have several people of interest at this time," said McCameron.
She noted, however, that a weapon was located in a field across the street. But at this time, "we don't know if it's the suspect gun or not," she said. Terry Parker, Mississippi County coroner, said an autopsy on Lindell's body was conducted Thursday at Farmington.
As of press time, there was information that another shooting occurred in the same neighborhood Thursday evening. Initial reports indicated that a 67-year-old woman was shot in her living room around 7 p.m. and Air Evac was dispatched to the scene.
No further information was available as of press time.
