SIKESTON, Mo. -- One woman is in jail and officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety are currently looking for a man in connection with a rape, robbery and assault.
On Aug. 8, a woman told DPS officers that she had been taken to an unknown location by a female and black male. During this trip, she was initially attacked by the female and then raped by the male. The victim, who received severe injuries to the head and face, was admitted to the Missouri Delta Medical Center where she was treated and released.
The female was identified by the victim as Kim Baker, 34, of Sikeston. Baker was arrested Monday and is charged with promoting prostitution and robbery. She is currently being held on $50,000 bond.
The other suspect has not been formally charged and warrants are pending for his arrest.
