A woman accused of robbing Comfort Suites in Jackson last month waived her arraignment Monday before Associate Circuit Court Judge Gary A. Kamp, who also set the defendant's preliminary hearing.

Julie S. Burns, charged with two counts of felony first-degree robbery, is accused of assaulting a front-desk employee, stealing cash and a set of master keys belonging to the hotel at 2904 Old Orchard Road. She allegedly threatened to shoot the employee but didn't display a firearm.

She'll appear in court again May 4 for her preliminary hearing.

Burns is also linked to a second robbery at an apartment complex on Delwin Street in Cape Girardeau.
