CHAFFEE -- Jerry Wolsey, who formed Wolsey Investigative Service Inc. here in 1989, is enthusiastic about a recent addition to his line of security products.

"I'm excited about this new Panic Dialer," said Wolsey, who became an independent distributor for Quorum International Ltd. recently. He said Quorum, based in Phoenix, Ariz., is the world leader in advanced security devices.

The Panic Dialer is described by Woolsey as a sophisticated phone system, which can be programmed with up to four numbers that can be dialed for any emergency. The user can activate any one of the four numbers or all four, if necessary, by pushing buttons on the dialer or on a remote that can be carried around the house or business. The remote can be up to 40 feet from the base unit to activate the dialer.

A unique feature of the Panic Dialer is that the person who receives the emergency message can monitor the caller's residence through the phone line for up to 30 seconds, Wolsey said.

The home security system with the security monitor, outside unit and Panic Dialer costs around $750, he said. The Panic Dialer alone sells for $279 plus tax, Wolsey said. He said senior citizens, age 55 plus, receive a 10 percent discount.
