WO DELTA STUDENTS ARE HONORED FOR LEADERSHIP

DELTA -- Two students at Delta High School have been selected by their teachers to receive awards recognizing their leadership and citizenship.

Amy Blattel, a sophomore, has been chosen as the delegate to represent Delta at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation leadership seminar in St. Louis this spring. The foundation, also known as HOBY, has conducted annual, all-expense-paid seminars since 1958.

Lana Cook, a senior at Delta, was chosen to receive this year's Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen award. Each year, the Nancy Hunter Chapter of the DAR recognizes outstanding are high school students with the award.
