Students from 36 Southeast Missouri schools participated Saturday in the seventh annual Missouri Student Mathematics Contest at Southeast Missouri State University.
About 260 students took the math test. Those earning first-, second- or third-place designations will advance to the state contest in Columbia May 9.
Wendell Wyatt, contest director, said that because the competition in Southeast Missouri is so large two students are named for each award.
Students in grades four through six are tested in computation-estimation, concepts and problem solving. Following is a list of winners.
Fourth Grade:
