The top-three places for each grade participating in the 1995 poster contest sponsored by the Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District were:

-- Fifth, Danna Simpson, Deanna Shipman and David Banks, all of Scott County Central near Morley.

-- Sixth, Gini Childers, Scott County Central; Jonathan Keenan, Sikeston Middle School; and Jamie Stanley, Oran Elementary.

-- Seventh, Doug Wiles, Sikeston Middle; Tisha Anderson, Scott County Central; and Ellie Miller, Sikeston Middle.

-- Eighth, Torey Kern, Kelso C-7 School, New Hamburg.

There were 122 posters entered in the contest, said John Byrd of Sikeston, chairman of the Scott County SWCD. First-place posters will compete in the statewide conservation poster contest in November, he said.
