Willie Nelson schedules spring concert in Cape Girardeau

Country music legend Willie Nelson will play a concert April 8 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 25 at www.showmecenter.biz, but ticket prices have not been announced.

Nelson released a compilation of covers in November titled "Remember Me, Vol. 1." The album features Nelson's takes on 14 country songs from the top Billboard hits since the 1940s. "Remember Me, Vol. 2" is scheduled for release this year.

Nelson was scheduled to perform in Cape Girardeau on March 15, 2011, but canceled the show, citing conflicting performance dates. Nelson last appeared in Cape Girardeau on Oct. 23, 2005.
