Cape Girardeau's newest traffic signal, at William Street and Sheridan Drive, will be put into flash mode today.

The signal will remain in that mode through the holiday weekend. On Tuesday morning, it will go into full operation, according to a news release from the city of Cape Girardeau.

Motorists are advised to be aware of the new signal. The City Council approved a development agreement including a cost share for these and other related improvements at a February meeting.
