AGUA DULCE, Calif. -- A fast-moving wildfire briefly threatened dozens of homes and power lines Saturday, prompting a voluntary evacuation, fire officials said.
The 1,300-acre blaze was 75 percent contained Saturday night, Los Angeles County fire Inspector Roland Sprewell said.
Earlier, a voluntary evacuation was called for about 250 homes, but many people were being allowed back into the area.
About 300 firefighters, aided by water-dropping aircraft, fought the flames in near 100-degree heat during the day. About 200 were expected to remain on the line overnight, Sprewell said.
