Widespread Friday school closings reported in Southeast Missouri

Many area schools were already reporting Friday closings to media outlets Thursday, and some local schools have alerted parents and students to Friday closings using the Southeast Missourian's text message system.

Schools listed with Friday closings on the KZIM-KSIM radio website as of 11:30 p.m. included:

Southeast Missouri State University reported dual enrollment classes Friday at its Sikeston campus were canceled.
