The following potential candidates for the Eighth Congressional District seat were all identified by the Southeast Missourian or The Associated Press as people who stated interest in the seat or who have been mentioned by members of either party as a potential candidate to replace Rep. Jo Ann Emerson.

REPUBLICANS
