A Whitewater woman was killed in a one-car accident at 1:55 a.m. Sunday at routes U and A in Cape Girardeau County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Judy Pender, 54, was killed when her vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and ran into a ditch. She died at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
In an accident in Pemiscot County four people were injured Saturday on Route K north of Hayti, Mo.
The patrol reported that Paula Adams, 44, of Steele, Mo., attempted to back out of a driveway and hit a car driven by Garold Thomas, 68, of Hayti.
Garold Thomas, Connie Thomas, 17, and Roger Thomas, 18, all in the second vehicle, and Adams were taken by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.
Adams was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving and not having a valid license.
