Three representatives of the Westvaco Corp. Paper Mill, a major manufacturer of paper, packaging and chemicals, will provide the program for the Regional Commerce and Growth Association (RCGA) meeting to be held at the Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau today.
Sandra Jones, public relations manager at Westvaco's Wickliffe, Ky., plant, will present the program, designed to acquaint people with the company, its environmental commitments both in the areas of clean water and clean air, and the relationship the firm has in a multistate area.
Also appearing on the program will be Ray Dailey, environmental affairs manager, and David Hartley, vice president of the firm and manager of the Wickliffe plant.
Persons attending the 5:30 meeting will receive seedlings of white pine and loblolly trees from Westvaco.
The firm's Wickliffe plant employs more than 700 people from Western Kentucky, Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Walter Wildman, executive director of RCGA, invited anyone interested in the RCGA and its activities to attend the meeting, which is being hosted by Mid-America Hotels Corp.
