A new, weekly television series filmed in Cape Girardeau will premier late night Friday on ABC.
"The Search for Humor in America's Heartland" will be broadcast at 12:30 a.m. Saturday and again at 12:30 p.m. on local ABC affiliates WSIL-TV of Carterville, Ill. and WPOB-TV, Poplar Bluff.
The comedy series, hosted by Jeff Beth of Carbondale, Ill., features a house band and guest comedians.
The first episode will include Warren Bass, voted Comedy Central's "Funniest Man in St. Louis," and Ashraf Amaya, a Southern Illinois University-Carbondale basketball star and NBA prospect.
