Parts of the St. Louis area received 6 inches or rain or more over the Memorial Day weekend. Flash floods led to some rescues in St. Charles County. The rains also resulted in power outages, at one point leaving about 15,000 AmerenUE customers without power.

Forecasters are expecting more rain this week. A flash flood watch was in effect Tuesday. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service was projecting minor flooding at some locations on the Cuivre and Mississippi rivers. No major damage was expected.
