The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather alert for Southeast Missouri, parts of Illinois and Kentucky. Temperatures are expected to drop overnight to 34 degrees.

Expect freezing rain, sleet and snow to fall through 6 p.m. Friday, with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. Roads will be slippery, bridges and overpasses will be slick and visibility will be limited.

Missouri counties affected include Cape Girardeau, Scott, Bollinger, Perry, Ripley, Butler, Stoddard, Mississippi and New Madrid.
