CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- About 30 weapons were seized along with suspected illegal drugs when two search warrants were served early Tuesday at residences east of Steele, Mo., the Standard Democrat reported. Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Bootheel Drug Task Force, Caruthersville and Steele police departments and the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department joined in serving the warrants at the residences on Highway 164. One person was arrested, Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell said in a news release. "Agents and deputies seized a large amount of prescription medication and believed methamphetamine," he said. "Also seized were approximately 30 weapons that were inside one of the residences."
