Weapons, electronics stolen from Cape Girardeau home

Someone stole several weapons and electronics from a Cape Girardeau home Thursday night, police said Friday.

Police received a call from a man at 1107 Good Hope St., who told police upon returning home the front door of his residence was standing open and several weapons, including knives and guns were missing, along with laptops and televisions.

Cape Girardeau Police Department Cpl. Al Spencer said the man reported all doors and windows were locked and secured before he left earlier in the day.

Spencer said the investigation is ongoing.
