Water main break affects mall stores

A water main break that occurred Thursday inside West Park Mall has disrupted operations for some of its stores.

While El Durango Mexican restaurant was not affected, others chose to stop serving beverages or temporarily shut down operations.

Kacie's Cookies reported it was only selling cookies but was unable to sell fountain drinks. Pasta House Italian restaurant - which was closed Friday - hoped to reopen by 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

"We've sent off our water to be tested and are awaiting the results," Pasta House manager Jennifer Brimmer said. "In the meantime we're operating under the boil water guidelines and are bringing in outside ice and water sources."
