Tanya Matzat of Cape Girardeau and Brain Eftink of Oran were recently named to the dean's list for academic achievement for the spring semester at Washington University in St. Louis.
Washington University is one of America's leading private teaching and research institutions. The more than 11,570 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled there represent all 50 states and more than 70 international locations.
Academic achievement is characteristic of the university's undergraduate students.
Matzat is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. William Matzat of Cape Girardeau and Eftink is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Eftink of Oran.
