SCOTT CITY -- Area high school students can take a trip this summer to Washington, D.C., through Virginia Lakeland Tours.
The trip will be held June 14-18, said Donna Propst, a local teacher who is coordinating the trip.
An informational meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in room 19 at Scott City High School.
The tour includes visiting monuments, memorials and touring the capitol and White House in Washington, D.C., along with side trips to Mt. Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg and Arlington National Cemetery.
The fee for the trip is $771 and includes transportation from Scott City to St. Louis, round-trip air fare, hotel accommodations, three meals a day and the cost of the tours.
The fee may be paid in four installments. A deposit is required by Nov. 17.
