An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect believed to have robbed Amerimart on Sunday evening.
The warrant was issued Tuesday for Dustin W. Durbin, 20, of Cape Girardeau for felony first-degree robbery, according to a news release issued by Darin Hickey, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Bond has been set at $100,000 and as of Tuesday afternoon Durbin was not in custody. He is considered armed and dangerous and it is believed he cut his hair and has left Cape Girardeau, the release said.
Durbin is suspected of entering Amerimart, 1320 W. Cape Rock Drive, at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday and threatening an employee, demanding money and fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police at the scene of the robbery reported that Durbin did not display a firearm but claimed to have had one.
