"There's not supposed to be power in town anywhere now. I don't know that we have any streets blocked," said the Rev. Eric Hodge, church pastor. "We have six or seven of us now. I talked to the lady at the EOC. the power didn't go off until 11 a.m. We have a generator and heat and lights. Our kitchen doesn't have power."
In other words, bring your own food.
The Osage Community Centre in Cape Girardeau, 1625 N. Kingshighway. The center opened at 7:45 a.m.
The Salvation Army at 701 Good Hope St. in Cape Girardeau. The center opened at 8:15 a.m.
The Arena Building, 401 Kiwanis Drive, opened at 8:15 a.m.
