KENNETT, Mo. -- The police chief of Wardell, Missouri, is facing three felony charges.
According to Dunklin County assistant prosecutor Jonce Chidester, Casey Aaron Redden was charged July 12 with two counts of parental kidnapping.
According to the complaint, the mother of his children had left them at her grandmother's house, and Redden picked them up without permission. There was no court order determining custody of the children, therefore he was charged with two counts of parental kidnapping.
According to Chidester, his most recent charge is aggravated stalking. Redden is accused of making several threatening phone calls to his former girlfriend. He was arrested Thursday.
Chidester said Redden, if convicted, is looking at a maximum sentence of four years in prison. He will appear Tuesday in Dunklin County Circuit Court.
