PERRYVILLE -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has made a $4,000 pledge to community industrial development at Perryville.
David Hand, assistant manager of the Perryville Wal-Mart/Sam's, recently presented a check for $2,000 to the Perry County Industrial Development Authority to be used for local industrial development efforts. The check represents a two-year pledge for local job-creation efforts.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has allocated over $1 million in industrial development funding to attract new industry to its trade territory and to encourage existing industries and businesses in Wal-Mart communities to expand.
