Chris Wrigley, vice president of Associated Industries of Missouri (AIM), will be speaker during a "Understanding Wage Garnishments" seminar to be held Aug. 27 at the Holiday Inn.

Wrigley, who has researched and coordinated the development of several publications concerning the Federal Consumer Credit Protection Act of 1979 and its impact on the Missouri Garnishment Laws, will discuss the employer's responsibility in meeting requirements of the law.

He will also discuss basic regional differences in the process of serving, collection, payover, and other garnishment requirements.
