VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOST BREAKFAST

SCOPUS -- The Scopus Rural Volunteer Fire Department will host a breakfast Saturday to raise money for a recently-purchased fire truck.
The breakfast, which will be from 6-10 a.m. at the fire station on Highway M west of Scopus, will feature a menu of pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast will cost $4 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
Raffle tickets will be sold for a gas grill and an ice cream freezer to be given away in June at a department barbecue.
