The Visiting Nurse Association is planning a training session for volunteers to work with VNA Hospice Care's outreach programs to terminally ill patients and their families.

The training will be given in two sessions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 at the VNA Office in New Madrid, 35 Shopping Villa on Dawson Road near Hwy. 61.

Volunteers are trained to work as part of the hopsice team by providing extra services of companionship or errands to raise the family's quality of life. The training is free, but attendance at both training sessions is required.
