The Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts Visual Artists Guild will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Gallery 100 in Cape Girardeau.
Artists and hobbyists are encouraged to attend.
Tuesday's meeting will feature Pat Reagan-Woodard, director of the Southeast Missouri State University Museum. Reagan-Woodard will discuss the museum acquisition process.
Beverly Strohmeyer, executive director of the Council on the Arts, said artists from the entire Southeast Missouri area attended the first meeting of the Visual Artists Guild.
"They viewed works submitted to the Photo `91 National and Art Experience `91 Juried shows," Strohmeyer said. "They also displayed and discussed their work."
Woodard will judge the awards for Art Experience `91, which will be exhibited in June at Gallery 100.
The Council on the Arts sponsors the Visual Artists Guild to encourage participation in and enjoyment of the visual arts, Strohmeyer said.
