Chad Miller, 27, of Winterset, Iowa, had accidental contact Thursday afternoon with a primary power line that carries about 13,800 volts of electricity, said Independence Power and Light director George Morrow.

He was taken to an Independence hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Miller worked for Tiede's Line Construction, Inc., which was hired to help clean up after the storm.
