"We kind of brainstormed about how we could promote Vision 2000 better and get even more people involved. We always need new ideas and fresh blood."

The role of the Community Relations Council is to oversee implementation of the Vision 2000 objectives that constitute the city's strategic plan.

The council is charged with making sure progress is made toward meeting the Vision 2000 goals.

In addition to the new members, members of the council attending the retreat were Martha Bender, Melvin Gateley, David Kaempfer, Lauchette Low, John Mehner, Harold Tilley, Curt Smith, and ex-officio members Al Stoverink and Linda Cochran.
