A Victorian tea party will be held Sept. 10 at the Glenn House, 325 S. Spanish Street.
Tea, lemonade and desserts will be served from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The tea party is free. Admission to tour the Glenn House is $3 for adults, $2 for children, and free for children under 6.
During the event, Bill Dunning will display antique cars; Linda Deimund will display antique hair-care items and accessories; Sina Kaiser will display her grandmother's tatted Christmas ornaments; and Wayne and Joanne Mcpherson will display their collection of spark plugs and tire-patching kits.
Money raised at the tea will be used to pay for repairs to the front and back porches of the Glenn House. Repairs for each porch are estimated to cost between $15,000 and $25,000.
The Glenn House was restored and is maintained by the Historical Association of Greater Cape Girardeau. Work on the house began in 1968. For information call 334-1177.
