Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison says Tuesday that Jacob Barr had part of one leg below the knee surgically removed after he was attacked by a tiger Sunday at the Wesa-A-Geh-Ya (WAY'-suh ah GEE'-yah) animal facility. A spokeswoman for Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis says Barr is in satisfactory condition.

In a separate instance, a 16-year-old was attacked Monday by tigers at Predator World in southwest Missouri. Phone calls for an update on his condition were not immediately returned.
