VETERAN HOME BENEFITS FROM BINGO AND GOLF TOURNEY FUNDS

Cape Girardeau VFW Post 3838 has presented a donation to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. Money for the donation was raised from the Post's bingo sessions.

In addition, the Post will donate money raised from the Flag Day Memorial Benefit Golf Tournament at the Bent Creek course in Jackson.

With the golf tournament donation, the post will top the $20,000 mark in total donations to the state-operated, 150-bed facility.

Profits from the tournament will be used to increase the Veteran Home's perpetual trust fund and to help fund outings, art and craft supplies, "home-touch" facility enhancements and clothing and personal items for the several indigent residents.

Lt. Gov. Roger Wilson is.Honorary chairman of the tournament.
