Jackson police and the Jackson Fire Department responded to a car accident involving an overturned van Thursday around 8 p.m. on Route PP in Jackson.

A Chevrolet Astro minivan was traveling east on Jackson Boulevard, allegedly ran the light and collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer headed south on Route PP, causing the minivan to flip onto its top, said Capt. Steve Grant of the Jackson Fire Department.

Three people were transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau to be treated. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.
