Updated cancellations and postponements: LFCS Home Tour latest #semostorm casualty

Because of the weather forecast, some community organizations are canceling or postponing events.

* The Brazeau Christmas Walk has been postponed from Saturday until 3 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 14.

* The Lutheran Family and Children's Services Holiday Home Tour has been postponed from Saturday until Dec. 14.

* The Chaffee Christmas parade has been postponed from Saturday until Dec. 14.

* The Osage Centre opened at 10 a.m. Friday.

* Cape Girardeau's city hall and transfer station are closed Friday.

* The Shawnee Center and A.C. Brase Arena are closed Friday.

* The Excelsior Masonic Lodge in Jackson postponed Annual Chili Day and rescheduled for Dec. 21.

* The Winter Wonderland of Treasures Sale at the parish center in Benton, Mo. has been postponed until 8 a.m., Dec. 14.

* The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce's First Friday Coffee event today at the Show Me Center has been postponed.

* The Jackson Jaycees and Jackson Chamber of Commerce's Christmas parade has been rescheduled for 3 to 4 p.m. Dec. 14.

* The Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies' Aid Bazaar has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 14.

* A sausage breakfast set for Sunday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee has been moved to Dec. 15.

* A fish dinner of the Leopold Knights of Columbus planned for today has been canceled.

* An open enrollment event Thursday at the Cape Girardeau Partnership for Higher Education has been canceled.

* The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri postponed its monthly First Friday Arts event from today until Dec. 13.

* The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department has canceled Saturday visitations of inmates.

* The Cape County Republican Women's Club has canceled its meeting for tonight.

* The Southeast Missouri State University campus is closed today.

* The performance of "Orpheus Descending" scheduled for this evening at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus has been canceled. The university will contact patrons about refunds.

* The Fill the Truck Event sponsored by the United Way and Wal-Mart in Jackson will be postponed to Dec. 14 and 15.
