Upcoming fund-raisers will benefit facilities, services for the mentally ill

Proceeds for two events scheduled for March will benefit the Community Counseling Center Foundation. The semi-annual Antiques and Collectibles Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 12 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau, with an early bird pre-sale held from 8 to 9 a.m. Dealers are still being recruited.

The 13th annual doctor vs. lawyers basketball game will be held at 5 p.m. March 18 at the Central High School gym. Doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or at any CCC location. A post-game party and silent auction will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gatherings Cafe, Marquette Tower, 338 Broadway, Cape Girardeau.
