Southeast Missouri State University will sponsor a blood drive dubbed "1,000 Pints for Life" Dec. 2-6 on campus.

The drive will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.

Co-sponsored by the American Red Cross Cape County Chapter and Domino's Pizza, the drive is the largest ever undertaken by the University.

The goal is to collect 1,000 units of blood.

Several fraternities and sororities and the Student Activities Council are providing volunteers and helping with the effort.

In addition, students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to donate blood. All donors will be eligible to win seven nights of beach front lodging during spring break at Daytona Beach, Fla., compliments of the World Travel Center.
